Dabur launches Real Fruit Shake & Real Supa Fruits

Dabur India Ltd recently forayed into the packaged fruit-based milkshake market with the launch of Real Fruit Shakes. It is currently available in a single variant, Mango Shake, and will be offered to consumers in two stock-keeping units (SKUs) – 200ml for Rs 25 and one litre for Rs 105. Réal Fruit Shakes is currently being test-launched in Delhi and Punjab and is soon to be expanded pan India. It has also launched Real SupaFruits, a new sub-brand in its packaged fruit juice category. This is for the first time that super fruit juices are being launched for Indian consumers. Superfruit is a special category of fruit, which are nutrient dense and rich in antioxidants. These are among the most exotic and premium fruit, and are difficult to obtain throughout the year. The flavours launched are Réal SupaFruits Strawberry-Plum and Réal SupaFruits Goji Berry-Pink Guava.

Tea Board stress the need for branding Indian tea

Tea Board of India is stressing the need for Indian brand of tea to boost exports and to earn a premium. India had been long as a bulk exporter tea. With high imports from specific regions of Russia, England, Egypt, Iran and Kazakhstan. The tea board has sought assistance from IBEF (Indian Brand Equity Foundation) a organization promoted by Union Ministry of Commerce. Besides IBEF, the board will also enlist major exporters like Hindustan Lever, Tata Tea etc.,

Ruchi Soya to re-enter soya drink market

Ruchi Soya, which has entered the soya drink market 2008 and subsequently pulled out is considering to re-enter the market. The company may introduce new flavours and reformulate the drink to suit the Indian palate. Masking the taste is the biggest challenge for soya drink marketers. Kissan Soya Milk, Silk and Soyfresh, Stateta soy milk are yet to break into large shares in beverage market. The soya milk category is estimated at Rs 50 crore and has a CAGR at 50 per cent.
