N V Distilleries & Breweries Pvt Ltd plans distillery at Sandharshi in Rajpura in Patiala district of Punjab. The project involves setting up of a 120 klpd grain/molasses based distillery and 5 klpd malt spirit plant and a captive power generation unit of capacity 10 MW (2 x 5 MW). Land required for the project is around 10 ha. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 1500 million. The new unit will consume Molasses (575 - 600 TPD), Grain/ Flour (310 - 350 TPD), Malt (10 TPD), Sulfuric Acid (250 kg/day), antifoam agent (70-140 kg/day), Di ammonium phosphate (100 kg/day), yeast (150 kg/day) and enzymes (250-300 kg/day) as raw materials.
