Kamani Oil launches Riso brand - bran oil

Kamani Oil Industries Pvt. Ltd recently announced its entry into the Gujarat and Indore markets with the launch of Riso, its rice bran oil. Riso, which is manufactured using rice bran - a by-product of the rice milling industry, is rich in Oryzanol.The product will be available in 1 litre, 5 litre and 15 litre packs.

Puri Oils launches organic mustard oil

Puri Oils has launched Sanjeevani, organic mustard oil, which is extracted from organically produced mustard seeds and without any additives. The project has received ISO certification and is cholesterol free and is non-viscous in nature. The product is priced at Rs. 175 /- for half litre and is packaged in transparent container so consumers can feel the lightness of the oil.

Gemini Edible & Fats to expand its edible oil refinery at Kakinada and Krishnapatinam

Gemini Edible & Fats Pvt Ltd is planning to invest Rs. 500 million to expand its edible oil refineries in Kakinada and Krishnapatinam in Andhra Pradesh. The Kakinada & Krishnapatinam refinery will be expanded from 1100 tpd to 1300 tpd. The company is running the refineries at full capacity.

Vimal Oil & Foods is planning to foray into snack food market

Vimal Oil & Foods is planning to foray into snack food market with an investment of Rs. 1000 million. It has plans to launch 22 products which include potato wafers. It will launch the products under the brand 'Vimal Fresh'. The Gujarat snack market has strong regional players like Balaji and Samrat. The salted snacks market in the country has been growing 25% a year, and smaller players have been fuelling category growth as much as bigger ones like PepsiCo, ITC and Haldiram's.
