Campco to launch premium chocolate brand "Dairy Dream"

Campco (Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Cooperative Ltd) is launching a premium chocolate under the brand "Dairy Dream". It will be a cocoa based butter chocolate and will be priced at Rs. 20 for a 35gm of chocolate. Currently, the company is well entrenched in tier II & III towns, now is its maiden attempt to have a go at cities and malls. It is planning to strengthen its distribution network. It may be noted, the company has a large plant in Kemminje, a village near Puttur, Dakshina Kannada

Cadbury India, a part of Mondelcz International is planning to set up a manufacturing facility in Sri City in Tada in Andhra Pradesh. The project will entail and investment of Rs. 10000 million and is likely to come up in 4 phases. The company has leased 134 acres of land in the SEZ and it will the largest plant in India once completed. The project is likely to go operational by 2015.

Priya Biscuits plans manufacturing facility in Dankuni

Priya Biscuits is planning to set up a manufacturing facility in Dankuni near Kolkatta with an investment of Rs. 450 million. The plant is likely to go operational in October 2013 and technology and equipment for the plant is to be supplied from Germany. Currently, the company has a manufacturing plant at Agarpara near Kolkatta.

Zinda Tilismath, a 97 year old Hyderabad based company is planning to foray into lozenge segment. The company currently manufactures herbal medicines. It will launch the product under the brand name 'Zint' and will be marketed as cold,cough and head ache relief product. It will be cool and is made out of camphor oil, eucalyptus oil, menthol and alkanet root. It will set up a manufacturing facility in Hyderabad at a cost of Rs.3.0 million.
