Keventer Agro to set up maize based starch processing unit in Kahelgaon

Keventer Agro is setting up a maize based unit for processing starch, dextrose and glucose in Kahelgaon in Bihar. It has tied up Keenan Technologies of Ireland for the know-how. It has also tied up with Carso of France to set up a laboratory with an investment of Rs.. 250 million. The total project cost is estimated at Rs.. 1300 million.

Keventer Agro and Future Group have entered into a joint venture to set up the mega food park in Bhalgalpur in Bihar with an investment of Rs. 2000 million. Land required for the project is around 125 acres which had been acquired. Work on the project has commenced in August 2011

Nestle to set up food processing plant at Himachal Pradesh

Nestle India is planning to invest Rs. 2500 million to set up a food processing plant in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It has sought around 43 acres of land in Tahliwala in Unna district from HIMUDA. The company had some thoughts after withdrawal of excise duties, however it decided to proceed now. The plant is likely to become operational by this financial year.
