Damodar Foods of Annapurna Gowrishankar Group is setting up a manufacturing facility at the outskirts of Coimbatore. The company which has launched the 'Karams' brand snacks is setting up a 15000 sq. feet plant with a capacity of 3 tonnes of savouries per day. Currently, the plans will have semi-automatic operation and later converted to fully automatic operation. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 30 million.

ITC, a FMCG major had set up a milk processing plant in Munger district of Bihar with an investment of Rs. 1500 million. The plant has milk processing capacity of two lakh litres per day and produce 10 tonne of ghee, 20 tonne milk powder and 20 tonne milk in pouches for domestic consumption per day.
