Desai Fruits and Vegetables to expand infrastructure facilities

Desai Fruits and Vegetables is planning to invest Rs. 600 million towards infrastructure facilities to meet the rising demand in European markets. The company will expand its cold storage facilities, besides improving its sorting machines, package machines. It is also planning to rope 2500 farmers in Navsari district for contract farming of banana. It plans to export 3 lakh tonnes of premium banana from existing 60,000 tonnes.
