Nirani Sugars to set up 120 klpd distillery at Mudhol

Nirani Sugars to set up 120 klpd distillery at Mudhol in Bagalkot district of Karnataka. The project involves setting up of molasses based distillery to produce ethanol of 120 klpd. Raw materials required for the unit will be molasses (500 tpd), sulphuric acid (240 to 260 liters/day), nutrients (36 kg) and turkey red oil (240 to 260 kg). The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 446.6 million.

Indian Sugar Manufacturing Co to set up 60 klpd distillery

Indian Sugar Manufacturing Co Ltd to set up 60 klpd distillery in Havinal village in Indi Taluk in Bijapur district of Karnataka. The unit will come up near its sugar unit of capacity 2500 TCD capacity and will be designed to produce rectified spirit using molasses. Raw material consumption will be 215 T/day. The project also involves setting up of a bagasse based 19.5 MW cogeneration power unit. The company consumes 7.5 MW of power and excess power generated will be sold to SEB. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 918 million.

M. R. Krishnamurthy Co-operative Sugar Mills to set up 45 klpd distillery

M. R. Krishnamurthy Co-operative Sugar Mills Ltd to set up 45 klpd distillery at Sethiathope village in Chidambaram Taluk in Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu. The unit will come up near its existing sugar unit with a capacity of 2500 tcd and will produce Rectified Spirit of 45 KLPD and 40.80 KLPD of Anhydrous Alcohol from Rectified Spirit. Raw materials consumption will be cane molasses (196 MT/day), nutrients (45 kgs/day), Sulphuric acid (67.5 kgs/day) and Antifoam oil (90 kgs/day). The unit will operate for 260 days in a year and will entail and investment of Rs.360 million.

Vasista Fermentation to set up 80 klpd distillery at Jayanthipuram

Vasista Fermentation Pvt Ltd to set up 80 klpd distillery at Jayanthipuram in Jaggayapet in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. The project involves setting up of non molasses based distillery but consumes 212 TPD of grains (Maize, Jowar, broken rice to produce Rectified Spirit / Ethanol/ Extra neutral alcohol. The manufacturing process will batch fermentation and with multi pressure vacuum distillation .The project also involves setting up of a 2.5 MW captive power generation unit. The unit will operate for 300 days in a year and will entail an investment of Rs.757.6 million.
