Bitburger Braugruppe GmbH to launch draught beer in India

Bitburger Braugruppe GmbH, a top German brewing company is planning to launch draught beer in India. It is currently looking for bottlers and contract manufacturers to distribute its global brands. It may look at franchising options rather than setting up a greenfield plant. The company has a wide range of beer brands like Wernesgruner, a wheat beer under the brandname Licher, Bitburger premium, Kostritzer, a pioneering black beer, Konig Pilsener, a leading German draught, two low alcohol beers, and a range of fruit beers. The Indian beer market is expected to grow at CAGR of 17%

Haryana Organics plans expansion of its Chulkana distillery

Haryana Organics ( a division of Global Spirits Ltd) is planning to expand its distillery at village Chulkana in Samalkha Tehsil in Panipat district of Haryana. The project involves expanding existing 25 KLPD grain/molasses based distillery to 100 KLPD. The new unit will operate on based on molasses for 25 klpd and 75 klpd on grains to manufacture Rectified spirit (RS)/Extra Neutral Alcohol(ENA) for country liquor and IMFL. The unit can operate for 270 days when operated on molasses and 330 days when operated for grains. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 350 million.

Shivsagar Sugar plans 30 klpd distillery in Udupudi

Shivsagar Sugar & Agro Products Ltd is planning to set up a 30 klpd distillery in Udupudi in Ramdurg Taluk in Belgaum district of Karnataka. The project involves setting up of a 30 klpd molasses based distillery and a 18 MW cogeneration plant. It may be noted, the existing sugar mill is having a capacity of 2500 tcd will supply the feed stock to produce Rectified spirit (RS)/Extra neutral alcohol (ENA)/Absolute alcohol/Anhydrous alcohol (Ethanol) etc., The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 300 million for the distillery and Rs.400 million for the cogen plant

Andhra Sugars plans expansion at Kovvur

Andhra Sugars Ltd is planning to expand its Kovvur unit in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. The project involves expanding its single super phosphate unit production capacity from 200 tpd to 300 tpd, caustic potash from 24 tpd to 50 tpd, hydrochloric acid from 30 tpd to 60 tpd, Sodium Hypochlorite (2 TPD to 10TPD) & new Mono Chloro Acetic Acid Plant (20 TPD). The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 170 million.
