Vaidyanath Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd plans expansion of its distillery at village Pangri in Parali Taluk in Beed district of Maharashtra. The project involves expanding its grain based distillery from 30 klpd to 60 klpd using molasses or cane juice or grains as feedstock. While the molasses requirement will be 125 MTPD, sugar cane juice requirement will be 1960 MTPD and grains requirement will be 100 MTPD. The expansion will be carried out at its existing premises where there is 350 acres of land. The unit operate for 270 days in a year. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 250 million.
