P K Ruia Group is going ahead with its expansion plans. It is investing Rs.8000 million to set up a sugar complex at Shariyatpur in East Champaran district of Bihar. Around Rs.1300 million will come from Sugar Development Fund, while Rs.1200 million will be the promoters contribution. The plant will come up on 180 acres and will have cane crushing capacity of 1000 tpd and ethanol capacity of 240 kld. Around 104 acres have been acquired so far for this plant.
