India to import refined edible oil more than refine it here

According to COOIT and SEAI, refined edible oil import are set to rise more than the crude edible oil on account of cost benefits. The price difference between crude and refined oil does not amount much as it is less than Rs.4000 per tonne in case of palmolein. So it makes sense for many traders to import refined edible oil which spells doom for the local refined industry.
