India produced around 110 million tonnes of milk in the year 2008-09 which is 1.7% higher than the previous year. The National Dairy and Development Board had outlined investments of 173,000 million over a period of 15 years with an objective of raising productivity, strengthening infrastructure for processing, procurement, marketing and quality control. NDDB is also collaborating with scientific institutions to produce high genetic heretic bulls,
