Somaiya Organo Chemicals to expand distillery at Sakarwadi in Kopargaon Taluka in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra with an investment of Rs. 980 million. The project involves expanding existing distillery capacity from 80 KLPD to 150 KLPD using molasses as well as tapioca as raw material and 7.5 MW Co-generation power project based on biogas/coal/biomass/tapioca stems. The unit will operate either on molasses or tapioca and the expansion will be carried out at its existing premises
