Bhatia Wine Merchants to expand its existing capacity of distillery from 20 klpd to 30 klpd at village Dhuma, Tehsil Mungeli in District Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. The existing plant based on molasses as feed stock generate 30 KLPD total spirit for 60 days in a year and the same plant generates 20 KLPD total spirit when operated on grain as feed stock for 240 days in a year. It is now proposed to expand the distillery capacity using grain as raw material. As the existing plant is of 30 KLPD capacity it is proposed to use its full capacity for the production of alcohol from grain for 240 days at 30 KLPD based on certain modification in the liquefaction and Fermentation section and put up a new plant of 30 KLPD capacity based upon grain as raw material in the same premises. The new distillery units will run for 300 days in a year. Bottling plant consisting of 6 Lines for 5000 IMFL Cases per Day is also proposed. The additional requirement of grains for 40 KLPD expansion will be 28500 TPA. Total cost of the expansion is around Rs. 245 million.
