Vitthalrao Shinde Sahakara Sakhar Karkhan plans distillery at Gangamainagar in Madha Taluk in Solapur district of Maharashtra. The project involves expanding molasses based distillery unit from 30 KLPD to 60 KLPD to produce Rectified Spirit (1800 Kolkatta/month) or Extra Neutral Alcohol (1800 Kolkatta/month) or Ethanol (1800 Kolkatta/month) and Fusel Oil (3.6 Kolkatta/month) based on continuous fermentation process. The distillery unit will operate for 270 days in a year and is attached to sugar unit of 3500 tcd capacity and another sister unit of 2500 tcd located 3.5 kms away from the site. The total project cost is estimated at Rs.. 280 million.
