Ponni Sugars Ltd is planning to set up a 60 klpd distillery in Kunnamalai village in Paramathi Taluk in Nammakkal district of Tamil Nadu. The project involves setting up of a molasses based distillery to manufacture rectified spirit and extra neutral alcohol. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 700 million and the unit will operated for 300 days in a year. Land required for the unit is around 29 acres.
