TN Cooperative Milk Federation is planning to setup a dairy and milk powder plant in Thiruvannamalai with an investment of Rs. 600 million. It will process 2 lakh litres of milk every day and is set up with assistance from National Dairy Development Board on turnkey basis. The project is funded through NABARD to the tune of Rs. 569 million and the balance assistance comes from state government. The project is likely to go operational in July 2013.
