Bhima (SSK) to set up a distillery at Madhukarnagar in Daund taluk in Pune district of Maharashtra.  The project involves setting up of molasses based distillery unit of 45 KLPD capacity attached to sugar unit of 5000 TCD capacity.. Total area required for the unit will be 35 acres, of which 5 acres for distillery, 25 acres for bio-composting, 4 acres for lagoon and 1 acre for bio-methanation plant. It is proposed to manufacture 12150 KL/annum of Rectified spirit (RS)/Extra neutral alcohol (ENA) (10935 KL/annum), absolute alcohol (11137.5 KL/annum) and fusel oil (24.3 KL/annum) as by product. The distillery will operate for 270 days in a year.  The company will adopt continuous fermentation technology along with multi pressure vacuum distillation. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 340.6 million.
