Tata Chemicals to set up a distillery at Kusnoor in Nanded district of Maharashtra with an investment of Rs. 1200 million. The project involves setting up of 130 KLPD Fuel Ethanol Plant and 7 MW Captive Co-generation Plant. . Two boilers (FBC type) of 45 Tonne/hr. and 20 Tonne/hr capacity will be installed. The fuel required for Boiler will be Baggase and HSD for D.G. set. The spent wash generation will be @ 3.0 lit/lit of total spirit produced. Spent wash treatment will be by concentration in the Multi-effect evaporator followed by Bio-composting with pressmud. The pressmud requirement of 125 to 130 TPD will be met from the plant itself and nearby sugar industries.
