Weider of Germany based out of Hamburg, is planning to foray into Indian food supplements market which is estimated at Rs.20000 million. The company plans to introduce muscle building products, protein & calcium supplements as well as slimming products. It aims to achieve a turnover of Rs.100 million by its first year of operations. The market for food supplements is growing at 15% in India and the company is scouting for distributors.
