NSL Sugars to expand its Chikkonahalli distillery

NSL Sugars is planning to expand its distillery in Chikkonahalli & Hurugalawadi in Koppa Hubli in Mandya district in Karnataka. The project involves expanding its grain based distillery from 45 klpd to 60 klpd with an investment of Rs. 200 million. Molasses, sugar cane juice and grain will be used as raw materials. It may be noted, the plant has a sugar crushing capacity of 5000 tcd and a captive power plant of 26 MW.
